“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles…And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:42-43,47)
In response to the model we receive from the church in Acts 2, we want to join in the rhythm of devoting ourselves to prayer as a church as an act of declaring our desperate dependence on the Spirit for the good of our city, the salvation of the lost, and the fame of God here in our city!
Over the next 40 days (June 5-July 14) we want to spend an intentional season of prayer as a faith-family, by using this helpful resource — “Seek God for the City (2017)”. This resource is produced by WayMakers, and is designed to be used for the 40 days leading up to Easter each year, but we will use it now for this specific time in our life together as a church to stir us in our devotion to Christ, one another, and God’s mission.
